6/30 Ely Farmers Market 8-noon

Head out to the farmers market to grab the first of the summer produce: sweet corn, beans, kohlrabi and more.  Vendors will also have the usual baked goods, homemade breads, and crafts. 

 

 

Vendors will also be setting up at the Ely Community Center from 8-noon on the morning of Wednesday, July 4th, and a few vendors will also be at our regular Tuesday (4-6:30) market.

Corn at the market today

6/26 Ely Farmers Market 4-6:30

The Ely Farmers Market will be set up at the Ely Community Center this evening from 4-6:30.  Stop by to say hi and pick up some fresh produce, baked goods, breads and crafts. 

 

6/23 Ely Farmers Market, Sat. 8-noon

Don't forget to stop by the Ely Farmers Market on Saturday at the Ely Community Center to pick up your locally grown, baked and handcrafted goods.  We are hoping for a nice morning!  I think there is a big bike ride starting from Odie's tomorrow morning, so we are hoping for some extra visitors.

 

Vendors will be able to set up tables at our usual market location on the 4th of July from 8-noon.  Please contact elyfarmersmarket@gmail.com if you plan to be a vendor that day.

2012-2013 Ely Winter Market Dates

The dates for the 2012-2013 Ely Winter Market dates have been set.  The market will be held at the Ely Public Library from 9-noon on the following Saturdays:

Nov. 3 and 17
Dec. 1, 15, and 22
Jan. 5 and 19
Feb. 9 and 23
Mar. 16 and 30
Apr. 13 and 27

Thanks to the Ely Public Library for allowing us to use the community room.  Some of the dates will fill up and spots are available first come, first serve.  Contact elyfarmersmarket@gmail.com to reserve your dates.

Community Garden Update

Community gardeners have been busy planting up at our new garden site after a somewhat bumpy, but experience earning beginning.

We are grateful to Russ Lehman, President of Sign Productions of Cedar Rapids for the loan of a large water tank that will be used for watering the gardens. Thanks to some hardworking individuals, the tank has been rinsed and should be filled and ready for use this afternoon, just in time for our super hot weekend.  We are grateful for all the help and support!
