Ely Indoor Farmers Market Sat. Nov. 3, 9-noon

Hello fans and vendors of the Ely Farmers Market,

 

October just flew by and now it is time to turn our attention to winter holidays and traditions.  We will be holding our first indoor market of the season on Saturday from 9-noon at the Ely Public Library.  The library is also holding an open house to celebrate ten years at their current Dows St. location from 10-2.  I hope you get a chance to stop by and say hello!

 

Tomorrow's market will feature:

• baked goods
• the last of the summer produce
• handmade jewelry
• handmade cards and stationary
• duct tape purses and bows

The next market will be on Nov. 17.  Future dates and market information can be found here: http://elyfarmersmarket.blogspot.com/.  The Ely Seed Lending Library is still accepting seeds for nexts year's gardens.  Drop them by the library during library hours.

We still have vendor space for all upcoming markets.  Please contact me at this email address to sign up ahead of time.  If we get a full slate of vendors like we have in the past, we will be limiting table size so everyone can fit comfortably.

Nov. 3 Ely Winter Market/Ely survey

Hello Ely Farmers Market fans,

 

We had a cold finish to the outdoor market, so we are prepared to move inside for the winter market.  Meet us at the Ely Public Library from 9-noon on Saturday, Nov. 3rd for whatever is left of summer produce, lots of baked goods and handmade crafts.

Tues 10/2 Ely Farmers Market

Today is the last Tuesday market of the year and I think this week's weather will make a strong case for heading indoors next month.

 

We will be out at the Ely Community Center from 4-6:30 tonight. 

 

Saturday is the much awaited Ely Fall Fest.  There is a lot going on including a car show, kid activities, live music, a 5k race and lot more.  The complete schedule can be found here: http://www.elyiowa.com/ely_fall_fest.htm.  Make sure to thank all the volunteers who have put in so many hours to make it happen!

 

Farmers market vendors will be set up all day in our regular spot.  Craft vendors will be set up across the street at the Friends of the Library Craft Fair.  Make sure you stop by both to say hi to your favorite vendors.

 

The dates for the 2012-2013 Ely Winter Market dates have been set. The market will be held at the Ely Public Library from 9-noon on the following Saturdays:

The Ely Farmers Market will be set up today from 4-6:30 at the Ely Communty Center.

 

We will be out there for Tuesday and Saturday markets through Oct 6, Fall Fest weekend.

Vendors planning on setting up market stands for Fall Fest (Oct. 6) need to let me know their plans as soon as possible. As in years past, will be steering all craft vendors to the Friends of the Library Craft Show. Contact Pat Stanek for more information about the craft show: padastanek@southslope.net

Sat 9/22 Ely Farmers Market

Quick reminder to stop by the Ely Farmers Market from 8-noon at the Ely Community Center on Saturday...I have seen the weather forecast and time may be running out on summer produce, so get it while you can.  I know there are new crops of lettuce and green beans as well as the usual tomatoes, peppers, squash, and baked goods.

 

We will be out there for Tuesday and Saturday markets through Oct 6, Fall Fest weekend.

Ely Farmers Market Tuesday 4-6:30 9/18/12

Hello farmers market friends,

 

The market will be held at the community center from 4-6:30 today. 

 

It feels like I left for vacation in the summer and came back to an Iowa fall.  I hope the weather holds out a bit longer so I can get a few more pounds of tomatoes from my garden.  Either way, we only have a few more summer market Tuesdays and Saturdays before our last one on October 6.  After that we will move back into the library for the winter months.

 

The winter market will be held at the Ely Public Library from 9-noon on the following Saturdays:

Apr. 13 and 27

 

I had an opportunity to speak with the wonderful folks at the Ely Town and Country Club last night, so I am hoping to see a few more familiar faces at this week's markets.  It was so nice to meet all of you!
